Claudio Piselli embarked on his drumming journey under the tutelage of John Ramsey<\/strong>\u00a0and later pursued formal education at the Frosinone Conservatory, where he earned a diploma in Percussion Instruments under the guidance of Antonio Caggiano. With a growing passion for jazz, he honed his skills by studying with renowned maestro Mark Sherman from New York. Throughout his career, Claudio has collaborated extensively as a percussionist, performing with orchestras and chamber ensembles such as the Ensemble Sixe, led by Marco Angius.<\/p>\n

One of Claudio’s notable achievements includes winning the Cosima Listz Prize<\/strong>\u00a0with the Ensemble Sixe and participating in the esteemed “Settimane all’ avant-garde” exhibition at the Auditorium of the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. His professional engagements have encompassed esteemed institutions like the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro San Carlo of Naples, Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, and Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano.<\/p>\n

As a soloist<\/strong>, Claudio has graced the stage of the Aula Magna of Roma Tre with captivating performances dedicated to “Twentieth Century Music in the American Continent.” These programs have featured works by celebrated composers such as Cole Porter, G. Gershwin, N. Rosauro, J. Cage, and S. Reich. He has collaborated with renowned composers including Luis Bacalov, Ennio Morricone, and Nicola Piovani, showcasing his talents in theaters across China.<\/p>\n

Claudio’s versatility extends beyond classical and jazz music.<\/strong>\u00a0He has contributed his percussion skills to television orchestras and theater productions alongside prominent figures like Cristian de Sica and Enrico Montesano. In the realm of jazz, Claudio showcases his talent on the vibraphone, performing with various bands.<\/p>\n

In May 2016, Claudio released his debut album<\/strong>, “NOW,” under the Dodicilune record label. This marked the beginning of his journey as a leader, recording two jazz albums featuring the vibraphone. Alongside his performing career, Claudio currently holds the position of Percussion Chair at the Rieti Music High School.<\/p>\n
